This year, Cinémoi brings to you again… The best of the Venice Film Festival!

It will be the 75th edition of the highly prestigious and longest running film festival in the world, with twenty one films in competition, all looking to win the coveted Golden Lion award.

Damien Chazelle, Julian Schnabel, the Coen brothers, Mike Leigh and Alfonso Cuaron will present their latest movies.

Emma Stone, Rachel Weisz, Ryan Gosling, Jake Gyllenhaal, Joaquin Phoenix, Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga will be in town.

Whilst David Cronenberg will receive a Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement, and Chinese director Zhang Yimou is this year’s honouree of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker award.

Cinémoi will present the highlights of this year’s festival. Join us for this most exciting line-up and the best program ever, full of awards hopefuls and star power.

And of course all the glamour from the red carpet, in the heart of Venice, the most romantic city in the world.

Lady Gaga – Red Carpet Montage – Lady Gaga gave a superb performance in Bradley Cooper’s remake of the Hollywood musical A Star Is Born, premiering at the Venice Film Festival.

At Eternity’s Gate – Julian Schnabel returns to the subject he knows best, painting, in his 6th feature film, At Eternity’s Gate, in which Willem Dafoe stars as Vincent van Gogh: a movie that is more a “work of art” than as a film
Il Cinema In Mostra photo exhibition at the Hotel des Bains – This year the Biennale has organised a photo exhibition on the history of the Venice Film Festival, to celebrate its 75th anniversary.
Julian Schnabel’s At Eternity’s Gate (review) – Oscar-nominated director Julian Schnabel returns to the subject he knows best, painting, in his sixth feature film, At Eternity’s Gate, which premieres in competition at the Venice Film Festival, with Willem Dafoe starring as Vincent Van Gogh. A great movie that Schnabel hopes is experienced more as a “work of art” than as a film.
