Christoph Waltz has given us the most popular performance of the year. In his portrayal of Nazi Hans Landa in Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds, Waltz equally impressed and terrified audiences with his cold subtlety and impressive linguistic skills. In a remarkable cast including Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender and Diane Kruger, Waltz arguably stole the show. After wining the best actor award at Cannes, Waltz had been given more than 20 awards for this role (including the Golden Globe) and is a safe bet for an Oscar and further international awards. Adam Shankman, director of one of the most successful musicals in cinema history, Hairspray, will also be interviewed about his sequel Hairspray 2. Shankman whose career spans numerous disciplines, including acting, dancing, and chorography, will also be a producer for the upcoming Academy Awards ceremony.
