Filmed with humour, maturity and surrealistic flair, Bed Scenes reminds us of the versatility of this talented director (Swimming Pool, 8 Women, Time to Leave), who manipulates cinematic style in a way that makes it looks easy. Moreover, he boldly approaches sex and sexuality (gay, lesbian and straight) with a refreshing candour and frankness that leaves us wondering why most films can deal with the subject only as titillation or immoral and are completely devoid of Ozon’s honesty.
