Like most iconic Hollywood stars, Elizabeth Taylor worked with a costume designer who was responsible for creating most of her legendary looks.  That was MGM costume designer Helen Rose, who knew exactly how to enhance her natural charms with the perfect combination of modest and sexy. However, this red chiffon gown that Helen designed for Elizabeth to wear in ‘The Last Time I Saw Paris’, caused a ruckus on set when the Censor declared it was ‘out’ due to the simple fact that it exposed too much skin. Helen was devastated, but thankfully, the director Richard Brooks, cursed the Censor until she left. Filming then resumed, and the dress made history!

Cinémoi is honoring people – and fashions- that aren’t afraid to make history like Elizabeth Taylor and Helen Rose did with $100 CASH!
